About Spokane Jazz Connection
On the Scene
Started in 2009 as "Spokane Jazz Scene", the project was originally designed to create a database for local jazz musicians and gigs. In 2014 the project was expanded to create a sense of community and growth with other local organizations.
Imagine Jazz
In 2018, Rachel Bade-McMurphy forged the brand Imagine Jazz to become the flagship and the name of the non-profit organization that would oversee multiple projects. Imagine Jazz focuses on guest artist presentations, festivals, workshops and possibilities to increase the footprint of jazz in our region.
Spokane All City Jazz Ensembles
Founded in 2013 by Rob Tapper, Spokane All City Jazz Ensembles is the premier jazz educational organization in the region focusing on training of Middle School and High School students. SAJE runs weekly rehearsals during the school year as well as summer camps and pop-up workshops for improvisation training and small group jazz.
